I finally have had time to sew again for the little’s! The first thing I wanted to do was sew up the super cute Boardwalk Hoodie & Henley (Click here to view more details of our affiliate link) from Peek-a-Boo Patterns.
I absolutely love the versatility in this design. I wanted to make something that both kids could wear and match each other, without it looking costumey or weird, and this was just the right pattern!
Princess B got the Virginia Beach dress version… and she loves it!
She is a fickle creature and will definitely let you know if she doesn’t like something you put on her… she will tug at it until she can get it off or until she tangles herself up in it enough that you have to take it off of her… yes she is a brat!
I had picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby this great stripe knit, for $1.60 a yard… I took what was left which was 3/4 of a yard. I also love going to the dollar store and picking up as many shirts I can get! Most of them are large or extra larges, so I get a ton of fabric for a buck! This dress was made for less than $3.00!!!!
Because I used such a little amount on Princess B’s dress, I used more of the black and white stripe on Mr. M’s shirt and again used another dollar store tee for the green part.
He was excited for his new shirt, but wasn’t thrilled with having to pose for pictures.
