Once Upon a Time with the Sewing Sparrow

I have loved seeing all the amazing looks this month for our Once Upon a Time theme! We have Danica from The Sewing Sparrow here with the cutest little Frog Prince inspired dress. I love Danica’s style – she sews such classic and pretty dresses for her girls!

As always, scroll down for the linky and feel free to join in our FB sew along group!
Once upon a time, there was a princess.  She loved two things, her golden “ball”oon and frogs.  Her mom the queen made her a dress using the Edelweiss pattern by Hey June.  She used a frog applique on the bodice and trimmed the dress with golden dot fabric and golden lace.  She placed two golden heart buttons on the back to symbolize her two loves.

Everyday she would wear her dress, go to the royal pond, play with her “ball”oon and watch the frogs hop around the lily pads.

One day, the “ball”oon blew away from her and fell into the pond.  The princess was so sad, she didn’t know what to do.  Suddenly a frog appeared and told her that if she would give him a kiss, he would rescue the “ball”oon.  The princess agreed.

The frog rescued the “ball”oon and the princess gave him a big kiss.

With an explosion of light, the frog slowly changed into a prince.  He had been turned into a frog by an evil spell and only a kiss from a princess would break it.  The prince and the princess fell in love and lived “hoppily” ever after.

Thank you so much for this opportunity to participate in Crafting Con.  It truly was a family effort from the planning to the photos, and we all had so much fun!

I love those sweet buttons on the back!
