This is the other pattern I got to test in the new Pattern Anthology Collection. It’s the Johnny B Good Hoodie by Shwin Designs.
I love it and so does John, even though he got a little emo for the pics…
And why has no one ever thought of a button up shirt with a hood before? (At least, that I’ve seen :P) What a great way to add some personality to a boy shirt!
Lined hood, shoulder and back detail, sleeve placket – this is a fairly easy pattern that gives a very professional finish!
I almost eked the whole thing out of a remnant from JoAnn’s, but had to splice in a strip in the front. Turns out I love it :) This is the model pose, by the way. Told you he was being emo.
I almost made the shirt out of the chevron with the blue as the accent, but I’m glad I did it this way. These tiny chevrons get a little eye-searing if you stare at them too long!
Be sure to check out the rest of the patterns! I think it’s great that they make a point of doing half of them for boys :)
