Hangout Hoodie

I love Peek-a-Boo Patterns. I really do. Except for the Hangout Hoodie – it’s been giving me fits trying to get that darn placket to lie down already and stop ruffling!

So when Amy announced she was going to do a sew-a-long for the hoodie, I told myself I wouldn’t do it. But then Myself told I to suck it up and get to work. (Sidenote: I once read that the signs of insanity are: 1 – Speaking to yourself. 2- Answering yourself. 3 – Arguing with yourself. 4 – No longer speaking to yourself. I may have reached that point a few times…)

So I just grabbed what was on the top of my re-fashion pile (which takes up most of my craft room floor) and got to it!

And, naturally, the placket turned out perfect this time. And every single stripe lined up.

I love it when that happens. It’s like I’ve finally made something enough times that my brain figures out what I had been doing wrong and how to make it work!

Plus we were having a good modelling day. Things always look better when they’re on a cooperative model! Except he really didn’t want to play “peetaboo” which I thought would have been appropriate!
