Last month I hit up my local thrift shop and raided their sweater sections. I looked up and down both the men’s and women’s sections looking for great patterns and colors in the largest sizes I could find! The bigger the sweater the more possibilities you have! I turned two sweaters into super cute sweaters for my little guy!
I found this pattern and tutorial over at Helen Crafty Stall’s blog. It is a free raglan style pattern. She has titled it her “Spring into your Wardrobe”, but I think for Eastern Washington it makes a perfect Fall sweater!
My first go ahead at it, I messed up the flaps and buttons because that part of the tutorial is all in pictures and I had a brain fart when trying to piece everything together. Once the damage was already done I had realized how it was supposed to go, so I decided to remake it with another sweater.
See the difference? I was going to just scrap the blue one, but Mr. M wanted the blue one too!
Once I finished the brown striped sweater I wanted to try it on the Mr. M, but he refused to take off his costume… so I had to put it on over his transformer outfit….
and didn’t want to stand for pictures anymore!
Have a good Weekend everyone!
